New York Health Care Workers Get Massive Win in Court Against COVID Vaccine Mandate
New York state’s newly minted vaccine mandate is already being contested in a federal court.
The mandate would have required all health care workers in the state to be vaccinated, which could have resulted in the firing of over 40,000 workers. On Thursday, however, a lawyer representing three nurses was granted a temporary restraining order against the new law.
The injunction temporarily blocks the state from enforcing the vaccination mandate on health care workers with a religious exemption. The three-judge panel that made the decision also set a hearing for Oct. 14, when, presumably, it will decide whether or not to extend such protections indefinitely. Read more.
Pro-Life Group Presents Supreme Court With 500,000 Signatures Asking It to Overturn Roe
A pro-life group has presented the nation’s highest court with over half a million signatures from Americans asking it to overturn the infamous case that has resulted in 63 million babies dying in abortions.
With over 500,000 signatures collected on a petition calling for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, American Citizens will hold a rally outside the Supreme Court to call on the Supreme Court of the United States to use the Dobbs case from the state of Mississippi to reverse the decision.
Allan Parker, president of The Justice Foundation, a pro-life nonprofit leading the charge, said the “Moral Outcry” petition “stands on the premise that U.S. citizens do not accept abortion as the law of the land.”
Ohio Bill Would Ban Abortions Immediately After Roe v. Wade is Overturned
A new bill in the Ohio Senate would protect unborn babies by banning all abortions as soon as the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.
The Human Life Protection Act (Senate Bill 123), sponsored by state Sens. Kristina Roegner, R-Hudson, and Sandra O’Brien, R-Ashtabula, would ban abortions and impose felony charges on abortionists who violate the law.Roegner told the state Senate Health Committee that Ohio needs to stand for life.
“We have a decision to make: Are we going to join the states that say we’re going to keep the child comfortable until we decide what to do with them, or are we going to stand for life?” Roegner said. “Today, Ohio is saying we shall stand for life.”
