LIBERTY FIRST MISSION STATEMENT

Liberty First Mission Statement and Core Values

Mission Statement: Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with the U S Constitution and our five core values of National Security, Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government, Free Markets, and Religious Freedom. We believe solutions to problems must be built on America’s founding principles, and finding those solutions is every citizen’s responsibility.

Fiscal Responsibility We discourage excessive gov’t spending and taxation since limited spending honors and respects the individual’s liberty to spend the money he/she earns. Extreme deficit spending by our gov’t forces us to take action because increasing the national debt is a grave threat to our national sovereignty. It also threatens the liberty of future generations. Constitutionally Limited Government: We regard the U. S. Constitution to be the supreme law of the land and we support the original intent of the founders as set forth in the Constitution. Like the founders, we support states' rights for those powers not expressly stated in the Constitution, as the government is of, by, and for the people. In all other matters, we support the personal liberty of the individual, within the rule of law. Free Markets: A free market is the economic consequence of personal liberty. We, like the founders, believe that personal and economic liberties are indivisible. When the government interferes in the market, it distorts the “free” market and inhibits the pursuit of individual and economic liberty.

Religious Freedom: We do not believe in separation of church and state, but we do believe Government should not force any one religion’s doctrine into our education, churches, or businesses. We do believe in the Bible and the sanctity of human life, as well as, protection of the unborn and abortion survivors..

National Security: It is the role of the Government to secure our nation and citizens against terrorism and secure our borders.

Our Philosophy: Liberty First is a non-partisan 501C3 organization of citizens. We are united by our core values derived from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, and the Bill Of Rights, as explained in the Federalist Papers. We recognize and support the strength of the people empowered by civic responsibility. We hold that the United States is a Constitutional Republic conceived by its architects as a nation whose people are granted "unalienable rights" by our Creator-- primarily the rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The organization stands with our founders, as heirs to the Republic, to preserve their legacy and our own for future generations. We hold, as did the founders, that an inherent benefit to our country exists when private property and prosperity are secured by natural law and the rights of the individual. Americans who cherish the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and freedom of religion, are encouraged to join this noble cause. Objectives: 1. To educate citizens on the value of the Constitution and citizenship. 2 To educate the public on lawful and appropriate ways to share their values. 3. To influence current elected officials to support and vote for the constitutional values according to the original intent of the Founders of our country. 4. To evaluate and support Constitutional candidates for public office who believe our core values. Liberty First meets the third Tuesday of each month, at 6 pm. Like-minded citizens are encouraged to join us at Victory Church 1806 Wayne Mem. Blvd Goldsboro, NC 27534 . Contact: Linda Harper 919 920 3182; lharp207@gmail.com www.Libertyfirstwaynenc.com
